Faryn Christie

She/her

Contract Attorney

Faryn Christie is a native of Atlanta, GA, and is deeply committed to advocating for the rights and safety of underserved youth in her home state. Faryn graduated from Georgia State University   College of Law in 2016 and has been devoted to advancing the legal rights of marginalized groups, particularly youth, throughout her legal career.

During her time as a Graduate Research Assistant at GSU College of Law, Faryn had the opportunity to work with Professor Tanya Washington to draft an Amicus Brief for Obergefell v. Hodges. This brief, which argued that the denial of same-sex marriage protections was detrimental to children of same-sex families, was cited by the Supreme Court of the United States in its landmark decision supporting marriage equality.

Faryn’s experience as a Judicial Staff Attorney in Fulton County Juvenile Court allowed her to work closely with both Presiding and Associate Judges, advising them on legal matters in dependency and delinquency cases. Beyond the courtroom, she collaborated with Court Administration to organize community events, including the annual National Adoption Day and Law Day celebrations.

As a Registered Mediator in Fulton County Magistrate Court, Faryn facilitated resolutions in landlord-tenant disputes, gaining insight into the disparities faced by tenants, especially those with limited incomes.

Faryn is passionate about empowering young people, not only by advocating on their behalf but also by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to advocate for themselves.
