SLCY is a 501(c)(3) federally tax-exempt organization.

We are currently seeking donations (including cash and in-kind support) to help us:

• Launch and maintain drop-in legal clinics. Expenses included: snacks for young people and printing.

• Set up our marketing materials for tabling at resource fairs, including: banner and pamphlets.

• Build a stipend fund for young people. We want to be able to pay young people to contribute to SLCY in various ways eg. speaking at events and participating in planning and strategy sessions, focus groups, surveys and interviews. 

• Prepare for and organize a launch event and fundraiser. We want to introduce SLCY to the broader community and need a venue to host a mixer.

• Hire our first employee. Our long-term goal is to hire a full-time staff attorney so that we can expand young people's access to legal aid in partnership with youth homelessness providers.

• Pay for administrative costs such as our 501(c)(3) application and insurance.
